So I heard about “Jammin Jays Dip Mix” on WRAL TV and decided to give them a try. We ordered four of the Cheesy Garlic Mix packs and incorporated two of them into a two pound ground turkey meatloaf. Talk about flavor, it was awesome and it even got better the next day. The recipe I used was a modified turkey burger recipe. Two pounds of ground turkey, Two eggs, 1/2 to 3/4 Cup of bread crumbs, about 1 Tbsp of tomato paste, a dash of Worcestershire sauce, 2 Tbsp’s of Mayo, and 1/2 chopped onion and red, yellow, or orange peppers sauteed in 1 tbsp of olive oil until tender. Mix everything together in a bowl but don’t overmix. Place into a loaf pan and bake at 350 F. until the internal temperature reaches 160 to 165 F. about 60 to 75 minutes. You can also form the mixture into a loaf on a cookie sheet and bake it that way as well. For the top of the meatloaf I used some sugar free Carolina BBQ Sauce about 15 to 20 from the end of cooking so it didn’t over brown. Any BBQ sauce will work, however the more sugar it contains, the faster it will brown or burn. Let the meatloaf rest before cutting to retain some of the moisture. I also removed the extra juices from the sides of the loaf pan with a turkey baster before the final temperature was reached to avoid too much moisture.
